Hello everyone,
i put more perch yesterday in my backyard and this morning after a long time i took my best shot of a Rose-breasted Grosbeak. What do you think about this photo?

I think the bird can use some more room around it. I like the colors and the details though. I may lighten the eye and the black feathers on the head just a tad because I think they are competing for attention with the lighter gray oof area right behind it. That lighter color area makes the head looks darker than it is.

I like the pose and head angle and agree with Desmond's suggestions and would sharpen the bird a bit more.

It is a beautiful bird Pierre. They visit my feeder every day and I am always amazed by their beauty.
To better balance the photo, it would help to have more room above the head. If this is a crop, you could recrop, leaving 2 more inches over the head. You could also clean the dirt spots on the chest.

Yes, more room on top is needed. I would also take out the white spot below the eye, and tone down the white patch on the wing.
