Pygmy Pipehorse - my first image

Backing up my post yesterday of this little fellow, I am happy to share my first ever image I captured of it in April 1997. Sadly, it was on print film and I lost the negative. This is a scanned slide that was made from the print I think. Still kicking myself for losing the negs. They mean a lot to me.

Just shows another color variation of these Syngnathids. See the rear RHS of the image, the substrate is similarly colored to the animal. I know the whites are cooked. :(

Nikonos IVa, 35mm lens and 1:1 extension tube, single overhead flash. Almost full frame image.

Hi Akos Even the original would have been tough to reproduce Difficult subject and never had to pleasure of finding one !!! I can see why you are so proud .. I would too !!!

Keep on searching. You may get the original as well. I am sure you can find the subject again for creating a better controlled exposure. Thanks for sharing.
