Thomas, I'm a big fan of your photography. You always know how the make the best image of the circumstance.
The dramatic black BG and the choice of depth of field work very well for me.

Very dramatic with the dark (but not pure black) background and all the raindrops. Good sharpness too. I would suggest that the flower could be brighter.

I'm just sitting back and enjoying !!! I like the overall subdued whites contrasting with brighter ones which appear translucent !! Feel to the max !!

Steve,about the brightness on the flower,I agree.But for me is it important not to overexpose the drops.
That could in my opinion ruin the whole impact.But a little brighter could do.

Waterdrops are hard to expose.They often tend to overexpose.

I recently received my July-August copy of Audubon magazine and after seeing the cover, I thought again of your photograph. Audubon is featuring some of Jonathan Singer's most recent photography (http://www.botanicamagnifica.com/) and the technique he used is very similar to what you presented. Just thought you might want to take a peek at his work if you were unaware of it.

Again, well done and if I had a vote, your image would qualify for image of the week. :)

And thanks for the link to Jonathan Singer.I've never seen his pictures,and they're beautiful.
He seem to work with different light settings,as I do.His images makes me want to try more studiolike
settings.
