While considered an introduced (feral) species in Oz, I was still amazed at the beauty of this Goose at a local pond. I will add exif data later. Promise.
30D, 300mm f/4L IS and (I think) 1.4x, HH almost at point blank range.

Late afternoon light, fill flash used, full frame. I adore the neck feather textures.

I can see your reflection in the eye. You dont match your avatar. LOL. Yes, these guys make lovely portraits, and some have very striking blue eyes. I would maybe add a bit on top.

I love the feather detail on the back of the neck. I would definitely try to reduce the bill sheen. And I'd add a bit of canvas up top and on the left.

This is a nice intimate portrait with tons of lovely feather details and patterns. I love the colors on the bird. I would agree with reducing the sheen on the beak just a little.

Don't get too happy :) :D :) You made the bill worse in the repost. The orange now appears big time over-SATed and you did nothing to deal with the bill shine. Go back to the OP--hope that you have it or you have to start over--and work on the bill as follows: Use a relatively large Clone Stamp at about 40% Opacity. Now click on the clean area of non-shiny orange in the top center of the bill and then click on the shiny parts. Gently... Not much repeating. You do not want to eliminate the shine, just tone it down....
