Giant's Castle. 50D, 400 f2.8, ISO 400, 1/1000, f 6.3. The light was already over it's best here but I hope the action makes up for it? The approaching bird is a Cape Vulture while the one ducking is an endangered mature Bearded Vulture.

Superb wingspan Stephen, and lovely detail from the underwing. Its good to see two wonderful species in one image. Comp wise, I would maybe place the Cape Vulture dead center in your frame. Well captured.

While the light is just a little harsh, I agree that the action more than makes up for it. I would tone down the whites around the eye of the Bearded Vulture. Do you have a frame like this with separation between the birds?

Great stuff well done. Well exposed and great bg. I would have liked the Cape Vulture just a bit higher. Still super well done

oh wow. too good. two vultures in one with both in good position.
looks like reducing magenta tint will be a good idea to me.

Great interaction, sharpness and poses. I agree regarding toning down the whites and I would clone out that spot on the right side in the BG.

Super capture Stephen. You did well in the harsh light.
Ditto the above comments on comp.
Did the bearded fly off?
