Made this image last weekend. It was a cloudy day and this drongo was sitting peacefully. As per my observation, Drongos are more aggressive when it comes to defending their territory. A Hoopee came from no where and started bullying this poor guy. All that it could do was scream and protest....

Wish i had enough shutter speed to freeze the hoopee wings properly...

Canon 300mm F.28 with Canon 2x Tc on 40D

Thanks for watching.....

I like the interaction in this image, a higher ISO would probably have helped with the sharpness.

I love this kind of high key images. I agree with Axel, a higher ISO would produce a better result. Very well seen :-)

The interaction is good, but the slowish SS (for BIFs) has made subject motion blur apparent on the Hoopoe (not only the wings, but the head too). Comp-wise I would crop some from above, and add a bit below, for better image balance.

Great interaction. Agree on cropping from above. Some +EC at capture would have helped with the shadow noise but lost some SS - it seems you were already juggling ISO and SS - opening the lens to it's widest aperture would have gained you 1 stop.

I like the blur of the wings here. With the high key background the blur gives it a more artistic feel!! I like it!
