This tree is well over 100 years old and is in the center court of downtown Lihina, Maui, Hawaii. It was too big to get into one shot, without entering Lihina Bay! :eek: ;) But the closeup of the trunk, along with the people in the image, gives you some idea of ths size of this tree that predates the whaling of Lihina Bay.

Wow...I think this is the grand daddy of all trees...:D I like the perspective Mark...thanks for sharing...:cool:

One interesting tree Mark !!!

btw we have one a little closer that is also impressive ... resides is Thomasville Ga and its one of the oldest oaks in the US !!!

That's OK Al, you can dream of someday taking a trip to Georgia and I will dream of returning to Maui! :D :D ;)
