View Full Version : Ode to spring and life...

I’m singing loud and clear; it’s springtime once again
I’ve flown deep to the south and found my
Own patch of Heaven

Hiding in the reeds, concealing my little nest
I’ll fight the ones after my young
And defend them against the best
<o>
No matter what may come my way
I shall have no fear
My will to live and survive
Is my goal and it’s clear

When my young ones grow
Into healthy young adults
They’ll be free to go wherever
Their will shall choose
<o></o>
As long as they stay healthy
And virile and strong
Our populations will flourish
So till next time; so long….
<o>
</o></o>

The words go wonderfully with the photo.

Good work, Akos!

The photo is gorgeous, Akros! I enjoyed reading the poem but it seems pretty complicated coming from a songbird...do you know what I mean? If you told it from your perspective and not the birds then I would totally agree but it seems too deeply thought to be coming from the bird.

Not sure I'm making sense! I do like the poem...it just feels complicated from the bird's point of view.
