Taken this past week. Saw him in a tree and took a guess at the type of flycatcher and called him in. Neither the perch or BG were planned but was happy with the results when viewed at home.
Canon 50D, 500 =1.4x, 1/800, f/5.6, ISO 400.

I like the eye contact and you really got an unusual perch. I might crop a bit off the right to get the bird out of the center.

I like the HA and the interesting BKGR, but for me, the huge branch above the bird showing one cut end are pretty much image killers. A big crop right (as per Axel) and a crop from below would, however, improve it.

I agree that the big branch is indeed, too big, but I like the bird's pose, BG, light and colors, good detail and nice species. Agree that a crop from right and bottom might help here, also, I asume you did something with the curved branch as it doesn't have a tip :confused:

Exposure looks pretty good as well as the pose, nits mentioned above.

Looks like a little bird swing he is sitting on. Agree with Ramon regarding the possible crop.
