Not many wild Lupines here on the south coast of Maine but this field in Biddeford Pool is one that a house has not been built on yet!

Both BGs are lovely! Nice lighting and color. You might consider cloning out the flower parts that peek up at the bottom of the image. I like the simiplicity.

Anita, I've taught you well! :):D:) I agree with trying to clone out those partial buds at the bottom - it will give your frame a distinct stopping point.

I love the colors here but wonder if lupines are really this pastel? I thought they were a brighter purple - if so, you might consider just a hint more of contrast to pop them against that beautiful green BG.

Also, next time, think about turning the camera for a diagonal presentation and see which you prefer.

The best feature of this photo is its simplicity.

Very nice image and I agree about cloning out the purple petals intersecting with the bottom of the frame. Like both BG's, but I really like the purple on purple. And I agree the simplicity of the image is what helps to make it
so appealing. Also the gradation in greens in this BG is really nice.
