John:

Welcome to BPN! This isn't my usual forum, but I love to come over and get inspired sometimes!

Lovely colors, the yellow adds some real pop to the image. I like the symmetry

A tad more depth of field would have helped keep the entire flower in focus.

I am curious about the background. What was your setup like?

It is also helpful to comment on any post processing you did to help us understand how the image was created,

Again, welcome to BPN, and keep them coming!

Randy

Hey, John...I see you finally made it!

I love the deep blues in this and the yellow gives it a nice punch. I do find myself wishing there was a bit of a different color between the flower's blue and the BG as they are really blending together. Maybe just a tad lighter on the bg? I really like these little dutch iris...did you by any chance do any as verticals? I think a bit more stem would also be nice here.

Glad to see you finally figured us out. Keep those images coming...you'll be surprised how much you can learn and grow here!

I like the blue-black BG and how the Iris stands out from it. Well done.
