White Pelican: classic portrait

Overcast sky allowed for some fun with the white pelicans at Santee Lakes...

I like the details in the feathers here as well as the very "royal" posture.

You have got me there Jose (my grandfather's name as well).

I just LOVE Pelicans and am getting my fair share on this site.

My only suggestion would be to fill the frame with this lovely bird so we could see more of the eye, apart from that a lovely image of a stately bird.

Nice work getting this bird out of the water at Santee with a good bg. Looks a bit oversharpened.
