This is the outdoor pool at the Hearst Castle with a view of the hills. It was rebuilt three times mainly to accomodate Hearsts' five sons. It has 17 change rooms each with a dressing room and shower. The central columns in the middle (back) were antiquities and brought in from Italy or Greece (if my memory is correct). Each one is different and all are different heights so the architect Julia Morgan had to build different bases for each of them.
The whiter statues are a type of limestone and are cleaned with water or chunks of clay to absorb the dirt. The Castle also has an indoor pool as well.
