One of the surprising thing for me was to see many Ovenbirds,WaterThrushes and Wood Warblers in Belize. I of course knew they were there but not in such numbers.
This shows Ovenbird feeding on bright orange-red fruit on ground. I left the upturned leaves because it is a ground bird.

Hey Chas, Did you bring your rocking chair with you? This is a very fine image in all regards. Sharp, bright and well lit, loverly color and tidbit. And it is good to see that you have finally gotten the image optimization and sharpening down pat as you did a really fine job with this one. I wish only for a teench more of a head turn towards you. BTW, the leaves add to the image.

Love the pose, great soft light, amazing BG/enviroment, detail, colors, textures and natural moment, I would suggest to crop a tad from the right to de-center the bird a little bit. Big congratulations, outstanding image!

Very nice photo Chas. The leaves and habitat look good and add to photo. Nice low angle also. Dave

Lovely low angle, sharp, with good detail and colours. I like the surrounding foliage, and his morsel is a bonus.

I hate to tell the secret ,but I was not low.
The ground was bumpy and he was on a little elevation and with 840mm lens gives the appearance of being down on the ground with it. Interesting and it surprised me when I saw the image.
I didn't do much groveling on the ground in the jungle because of red bugs and its cousins.
I prefer to sit in my rocking chair to shoot.
