I made this image last week during a workshop I was conducting.
Osceola County, FL - 1D3, 500mm, 1/1600, F4.5, ISO 1000, hand held, manual exposure

Beautiful image Jim.
Questions : 1 ) Was camera set on high speed continuous ?
2 ) Did you press the shutter when the raptor was in pre flight hunch position ?
Really like the manual exposure and blurred BG (bokeh).

Jim
It's a wonderful action shot. I like the diagonal formed in the image......and especially like the detail of the underneath wings. Well done.

This is beautiful. I even like the barbed wire :D
Jim,
I know you are a big believer in hand-holding, but what do you think about something like a BushHawk as a good compromise between support and the freedom of hand-holding?
