I like the eye contact, details and the fish adds to it. Do you have images in this series with the bird flying toward you and wings up or down? I would put the bird a bit higher in the frame.

Sharp, great fish. Bird flying away from you is a negative, as is the wing position. Either wings full up or in the complete downstroke are much better.

dave i dare to post little correction here plz dont mind.

just lifted bird little up as what Axel told and two minor correction

1. Reverse S curve to recover wing detail and neck & beak details lifting.
This would open the bg little bit by 5%. Face and fish would then separate from BG.

2. Highlight and Shadow - didnt touched shadow as its fine to me but recover the highlight a bit.

Sunset dam Dave? I have a few of these guys but not in flight, or with a catch, so Im jealous. Good sharp detail and colours on the head, including the fish. Well captured.
