Here's another image of the dragonfly I had posted before. Any C&C are welcome!

Olympus SP-550 UZ
f4.5 @ 1/100, ISO 100
Aperture priority, pattern metering, sunny WB
Processed in PS CS2; cropped, curves adjustment, channel mixer, hue/saturation for sepia tone, and added vignette

Christopher, I love this image -- nice comp with the vertical boards and angled d'fly. I don't think you needed all of the left wings in the frame. Good choices with the sepia, and vignetting, although I think the vignette is a little stronger (more darkened) than necessary here.

Nice job!

Extremely interesting image as presented, rather unusual crop and tonalities, sharp, different and very effective, congratulations!

Hey Christopher,
I too like the presentation. A bit unusual for sure....but still nicely handled and done!

Love the sepia...it's so well done, Christopher. I do wish the whole tail was in the frame but I'm not sure why - the comp is certainly interesting on its own.

I also think you could go up one more notch on the sharpening of the insect - the board below it looks sharper so I'd just add it to the body.

Really cool image - way to think outside the box!

Thanks everyone! This was quite a departure from my usual dragonfly shots, which tend to be head-on; but I really liked how this comp turned out. Glad you all like it too!

Christopher, I like the comp. and the sepia does look very good. Well done!
