This is the native Yellow Warbler on Ambergris Caye off the coast of Belize,Central America.
It was intermixed with Yellow Warblers which were more numerous and assume these were migrants.
All the activity occurred at a water feature in a small 3 acre native coast forest in a heavily developed area.

Beautiful bird, good angle and eye contact. It looks a bit overflashed, you could try to adjust contrast, crop a bit off the top and run NR on the BG.

Chas,
This is a absolutely gorgeous bird!
IMO a levels adjustment to increase to contrast would make a nice improvement.
Another pass of USM and noise reduction will put this over the top!
Nice when the critiques offer post shutter suggestions:).

It seems to me Axel is suggesting reducing the contrast a bit while James want it to be increased. Hmmm...it's probably just me :D

Anyhow, on my monitor, the yellow looks like its brightness could be reduced by a tad. Perhaps a bit more sharpening around the beak. Otherwise, this photo looks quite natural to me.

GEEZ! I just got all excited as I am heading to Isle of palms for vacation in a few days and I thought "great bird" Then I read on and see it was taken a little bit farther south.
I agree with Axels assesments.

I guess I was not really clear, I meant to say 'increase contrast'. :)

I increased contrast somewhat, ran NR again ,tried to tone down yellow a little and selectively sharpened bill.
Look any better ?
