Strange LR artifacts with D700 NEF files

I was processing some photos that I noticed there are some strange halo artifacts in LR 2.3, They don't show up in NX2 converts. This is the first time I see these artifacts, has anyone else ran into such issue?

LR on the left NX2 on the right (all default parameters)

Arash, I know you said these are all presets but check to see if you didn't accidentally bump up the "Fill light" slider in LR...too much of this slider gives the same type of effect you got in your example.

Hi Dan,
Yes looks like it was the FL, it creates this artifact even when set to as low as 1! I have to turn it off for all of these shots-Thanks!
