Was shooting the moth when this bee pushed him off the side. Any crop suggestions as this is full frame. Tried a few and not real happy with any, may have to add some canvas.
D200, 28-105 @105, 1/250, f7.1, iso400, man exp, onboard flash used for fill.

Thanks for looking, comments and critiques appreciated.

I think you definitely need a horizontal crop on this one. You'll have trouble adding canvas to the sides on this one but you'll have all summer to get another one just like it - I've seen this happen before on these globe thistle plants...just be patient and you'll get it.

For this one, I'd crop off most of the top and try to make a horizontal out of it anyway - it might work! You sure did get great detail on the two insects. Nice going!

Hi Todd the bg is the problem I think with these you need to isolate the bugs in one flower !!! Not easy Agree with Jules and would go vertical then try blurring the bg to look like shallow doff !!!

With the image as is I would go with a square crop taken most of it from the top.
