Here's another image from last evening's time outside with the gerbera. This one has a stopped down aperture and a higher ISO than the first.
Canon 40D, EF 100mm f/2.8 macro
f16 @ 1/100th, ISO 1000 (Yes, that's right...I was trying something new!)
Manual mode, pattern metering, Sunny WB, handheld
Processed in ACR & CS4

Sweet Jules Might also look strong without the right side cropping tighter !!!! Great texture and color !!! Big Congrats !!!

Hey Jules,
This is the view that got me hooked on my Gergera's! I did the tight crop.....so I am a fan of Al's suggestion. Holy smokes! You at f16!!!...what is this world coming to?!!! Nicely done and I do prefer this over the previous post.

Good back lit, I like the idea of the tighter crop too.

Love the translucent petals, gorgeous colors. I like the bokeh on the right.
