Yellowstone bull elk in Feb snow.
D300, 400 2.8 w/1.4 tc, 1/2000, f8, iso800, man exp.

Its a tough call on the top half Todd. Crop just above the antlers and it looks a might tight. As is not to bad. I like the snow on the snout and the color contrast of the elk and snow. Turned head is a real plus on this pose.

Hi Todd, I took the liberty to show you how I would handle the image. I like the position of the elk very much. I also like the environment you captured him in. The few changes I made I feel strengthens your center of interest. I selected the elk and brought him up a bit in levels. I then cropped the top down to where the sticks start and I added canvas on the right and filled in the scrub.

Todd, well timed to capture the turned back head, and love the snow on the snout. Good exposure on the snow, and Dave's repost on the comp works well.

Nice head turn that makes the image. I'm fine with both crops, only wish there was more space between the bull and the rock.
