Hi all this day has been going crazy, lots of work at the office and a lot of things more to be done before dinner time so I apologize for my lack of participation but I hope to find some free time after dinner when the children are at the bed but I just couldn´t resist to post this image of the roller that I made in my past session with this beautiful species.

More images of th eroller session with flights and fightings in my blog

see you later ;)

Pretty much perfect in every respect!
Love the perch/background and the bird followed instructions well with a great head turn!

I like the soft light, details and head angle and would only remove the white spots in the BG.

The bird is stunning, the lighting perfect and everything is sharp where it should be.

I agree with Axel...the only thing I'd do is to remove the little white spots.

Juan, brilliant colours, pin sharp, and you have captured a great pose. Great contrast between the roller and the lighter BG. Congrats.

Impressive sharpness and colour Juan! And great head angle:-) I like the habitat, is it breeding there?

Chris when I took this image, a week ago, the pair was looking at the old bee-eaters nest trying to decid which one to choose for their own nest but yesterday I went to the sand bank to have a look and the rollers seems to be breeding right now so I decided not to disturb them until the chicks are born. In my previous post you can see one of this guys (there are three to four pairs in the bee eater colony) inspecting the holes (http://www.birdphotographers.net/forums/showthread.php?t=37742). You can see more images of the rollers in my blog

Una belleza!

Hello Juan, good that you were able to upload this wonderful image. The colors of this bird is stunning.
I wonder how this image would benefit if it had a darker BG.
