This is a rotated and flipped frog portrait......another idea for you.
Another trick is to increase saturation or contrast on significant features.
Sponge tool on sat in PS works great here.

Dave, This does look like a monkey! The duckweed adds a bit of added texture and interest. I love the eyes and the added sat. works well here. I might evict the small diamond on the bottom. I really like this one-has alot to look at!

Tried to do something to get those two "eye teeth" to be in a mouth, but nothing worked.
