Here's a common exotic here in Florida - a Cuban Brown Anole. I was cpturing some bugs one day in my backyard, and he decided to come into my "backyard studio" and pose a bit.

Canon 1DsMII, ef 180mm f/3.5L macro, 1/60, f/11, ISO 250. I think one more stop would have been better, but may have added too much BG. hard to say.

Bob, you mean one stop down? I dont think it needs it at all, I like it as is.

Great timing and excellent details and sharpness.

Robert - Yes, I meant one more down. I think a bit more DOF may have helped, as I think the top of the head is a bit soft (not much, but noticable). There wasn't much room between the subject and the BG, though....so it may not have been beneficial if the BG became too pronounced.

An attractive visitor to your backyard Bob!! A very striking Anole and DOF appears acceptable on my monitor. The only thing I would do is clone out the bright stick at left to improve composition.

Agree on the stick to the left and would soften the bg a tad !!!! Very nice image and love the pose !!!
