Stuart:

Very nice. Well exposed, sharp, nice comp.
Although the light angle was from your left side a bit, because of the HA and angle of bird in frame, I think it is effective. Maybe a bit of shadow recovery for the bottom of the tail, but very nice as presented.

Gorgeous pic Stu. A slightly more eye to eye level and softer light would have made it a bit stronger.

I like the head angle, details and light and only wish for a lower angle.

Stuart,

Most excellent photo. Like the colors and sharpness. Missed out on a trip to Kruger three years ago.
I'm still mad...

Good job, Stuart. I like the curve created by the tail and head angle. I might clone out the greener at the base of the perch. There are some hot tones on the forehead but suspect this is just and artifact from sharpening for web.

Excellent pose, comp, and sharpness, Stuart. True, a lower angle would have been even better, but this works quite well, as presented, IMO.

I'd love to have an image like this Stuart. I would darken the pupil a bit, and I'm with Tony regarding the green stuff at the base of the perch.

All nits mentioned Stuart. I like it as is, a very spectacular bird. :)

Well captured Stu, good colour and detail.
One of the problems in the Kruger is that you often shooting up at birds as you are stuck in the car, it would be great if it were possible to get closer to the level of the subject, but you cant.

Everything has been said Stuart, I just wanted to let you know that I like this image a lot. You did a very good job instead of the light that seems to be a litle bit intense. I am sure that this image is from a series and would like to point out that you selected one with a very neat head turn and fantastic eye contact.
