I tried to include lots of surrounding in photo....hope bird is not too small in the frame....what do you think?

I LOVE the DOf on that fence! Not your normal bird image and I like it, sort of off the wall or off the fence?;) Maybe a tiny bit of catch light in the eye?

I don't think the bird always has to be high def and close up to make a good pic. Personally I like to make images like yours (which I think is great) where the bird is the key feature but not the whole shot

Completely agree with the rest of the comments. It is a very appealing image. I do not think the size of the bird matters in this case atleast the way you have framed. Congratulations on creating a wonderful piece of art.

It is an appealing image with lots of mood and feel If the small bird in frame is placed in the right place it works
I have mentioned many times I find this type images more difficult that tight images Have been doing them when the situation presents itself Big Congrats on this one Marko !!!!!!

One more vote in the plus column! If you can't go tight, go wider. Often a composition as good, or even better will appear. I think this one wouldn't have been half as good if you were tight.
