Yes those are egrets. I don't remember what kind, but we saw cattle egrets, great egrets, and snowy egrets that day if memory serves me.

They kept their distance for the most part (unfortunately). I did get a decent flight shot of a BCNH against that sky.

The colors of grass and sky are very complementary. The photographers seem like they were having fun.
