Shot with Nikon D200 and 80-200 f/2.8 at the Costanera Sur Ecological Reserve in Buenos Aires. This bird is usually quite shy, we were throwing some bread to summon some other birds, when it came out a few meters from where we were and started to eat the crumbs... It was so close I had to take the camera off the 400mm and tripod and use the short zoom.
I had the camera set up for birds showing in the shade, so this one is at ISO 400, 1/3000, f/4

A nice surprise for sure! Great low angle, and I love the raised foot. I wouldn't have known that is a piece of bread in it's bill. Too bad about the bright area near the bill and the bright branches in ULC...if you are inclined to do so they can be tamed witht a combination of QMs, patch, and clone tools (and a bit of burning).

I like the pose, angle and details. The bright areas in the BG are a bit distracting, Daniel's suggestion would be a way to fix it.

Great low angle, and excellent exposure. This is sharp, and always good to see a raised foot. BG areas already mentioned.

Does it look any better? I couldn't get a good result cloning the BG, guess I'll have to order O'Toole's Quick Mask CD... :)

Hi Patricio, this would be IMO, the PP I wiuld have gone with. Nice image though, good walking pose, colors, detail and comp. BG is not ideal, but it doesn't looks that bad at all. Congratulations.

I find Ramón repost the best. However it is a very rare and lovely image. Made me remember my time in Mexico :) Level is cool.
