Holy moses...that is one beautiful rose! I would swear that was a painting if I didn't know better. Tell me about the light when you created this image...was it early day? late afternoon? Full sun? It's really beautiful and the water drops push the entire image up another level. I think this might be one of your best to date, Dave.

Hi Julie, Thanks for the kind words. Sunday morning in NJ was overcast. I had an hour and a half with no sun and no wind. I used twin flashes(Nikon calls them speedlight remotes) to give me a soft even lighting.I reduced the power of the flashes down 1 1/8 stops which seemed to do the trick. There was a big difference using the flash over natural light with the overcast lighting.

Just perfect for my taste Dave Flower is spectacular and the added light for capturing I find using flash very difficult for pleasing results Love it as presented !!!

Exquisite in every aspect, color, compo and details. The drops of water are the icing!
