I'm so far behind on processing....trying to catch up when I've got free time. Here's one from February that I just finished today. Taken here in the swamp of South Louisiana.

Hi Jude!
I am not a PS pro but if you have made this image out of a RAW file then you can make wonders.

I will start telling you that this is my favorite Barred Owl so far! Love the mood and those dry ferns on the tree.
I would also give a bit more of room on right. I gave it a try in PS, I hope you don't mind.

Beautifully taken photo of this owl. Soft lighting and as above from Juan, the ferns have "added" to the visual impact. The BG is already there but the glint in the eye is the key to this one for me.

Ditto the space on the right. But this is a super image. Like the colours and bg. Good detail.

What a cool perch, and the trunk at right really plays off very well with the perch. I didn't mind the soft branches in the BG of the original, but I also like the cleaned up version by Juan - especially for the added room. Very well done Jude, if this is what you have to offer us then I can't wait for you to catch up on your processing :-)

Great light, wonderful perch, and excellent detail!

Would like to see a bit more room on the right.

Jude I love this! Its a gem - the background, the perch, the posture all works for me.

I love it. I understand the concept of composing though still find it a bit close to the right edge.
The mossy tree is really nice.

Perch is outstanding, would have been nice to see the head turned slightly in but that is a minor pick on an otherwise super shot. Would have been nice to see it full size too.
