From Butterfly World a close up of a butterfly Used three 25mm extension tubes and had to go to a high ISO since tripods or monopods are not allowed. Day was heavy overcast with little light Will be going back and trying again btw posting from laptop ... desktop had a raid failure and its in the shop !!

Comments welcome and much appreciated

Al, are you sure your weren't on the set of some new SciFi movie?

How close did the were you to the creature from the bw lagoon when you made the image?

:D

Holy smokes, Al! I think if the tongue had been let out it would have kissed you! Wow...now that's an extreme close up!

Very creative, I love the BG colors and the antennae bases makes me think of Warlock :)

Hey Alfred, that's one wild and crazy B-fly, great looking DOF.

Wow,now we're talking close-up!
Excellent colors and comp, but I think I want a little more DOF.
Although I'm a short DOF-lover,I do feel this is a bit too short.

Hi Alfred,
Great details, lovely colors, but what I like best is the unusual 'out of the box' composition you've made here. I'm wondering if the image may improve if you level the left and right wing?

This is a real close-up! But i have the feeling the eye's are not sharp. And why are you not allowed to use a tripod/monopod?
