Nice perch and setting. Looks like you did some PS work on the end of the perch. This image would be much better if the bird had tilted his head a couple degrees towards you.

I agree with Aidan's excellent critique. Great perch, BG, exposure, and sharpness. The head angle is key and this bird is looking slightly away from you. I'd fix the far right end of the perch. Thanks for sharing!

I did cloned the tip of the perch, after I've shortened it a little...Not very nice done...I must pay more attention...
It was my first "close encounter of the third kind" with this species, and I was stunned about the beauty of those birds...

Congrats on your first bee eater. I like the light and colours in this, together with the diagonal perch.
