I got it right off...too funny!

Good choice of aperture - you got wonderful details throughout the entire image. Even though the lighting looks like it was a bit harsh you really made the most of it - it's not overwhelming at all. The texture and details of the sand really make this image pop.

Incredible all the texture portrayed in the sand. Light not the best, still a nice image.

Tiger beetles live on bright sand in full sun, so finding them in gentle diffused light is near-impossible. Love this pre-mating pose (nothing going on yet - first the male grasps the female with his mandibles, then part II which hasn't happened yet). There are little splashes of cyan here & there which these beetles have (thus the cyan is not an artifact). Outstanding DOF, focus, composition, & exposure!
