Dave I have a serious phobia to caterpillars but I have too say that I like this image instead of the fact that the main subject is ono of those creatures.... :-P
I like a lot the DOF use, the softness of light and the details on the insect, perhaps a litle crop from the right would work too. Very good processing job, the result looks very natural instead of the fact that you used B/W and cololor :-)
