Nice, tranquil water Dave. I like the calligraphy without the chop. This works. You could try squeezing the characters into an oval or rectangle, convert them to red and have a nice chop also. It's nice the way it is though. The light is quite harsh in the image however. I would be tempted to go way OOTB and illustrate this image into a watercolor.

I must respectfully disagree on the image being hot. This was shot on an overcast day with filtered light. However, I don't know how it appears on your monitor.

Dave, Very nice composition and I really think you hit the mark on the Asian feel!! I like that you have your name now in Chinese letters-I need to find mine!!
