Hi Jim, the BG needs another round of noise reduction and the bird lacks details (is this one a big crop?) but the Bg is outstanding and I like the action a lot. Very good exposure job but I think that this image has not your usual high quality standard :-)

Super flight angle, and like the posture. Exposure looks good, but have to agree regarding the sharpness.

Did you make this image at the Werribee sewage farm?

Yes. I went there with my friend from Melborne and some people from the local camera club. I taught a class on photographing BIF at the camera club the night before and we went to Werribee the next day for a in the field class.
