This little guy likes to sing, and every sixth note, he lifts one leg, and flaps his wings. Taken in a small nature reserve, close to Pretoria. I liked the light in this.

Very nice bird and light. Nice composition and BG, I only wish I could see the feet.

Great job.

I like the behavior illustrated here as well as the explanation, Stuart. The light, exposure, comp, and sharpness are right on. Well done.

Stuart:

Excellent. Clean background, active bird, sharp, nice light, good comp.

Might consider cloning out the small bright diagonal twig in RLC, it stands out against the sky, but that is a very minor point. Not much else to change!

Randy

Like the story too.

Typical behaviour well captured, Stuart. Lovely light and eye contact. I love the wing position and crest.

Cool pose, details, angle and perch. There are some jpg artifacts in the BG, probably due to compression.

Great behaviour image (thanks for describing what is going on with this species), and sweeeet light! Is that a clone mark in LRC that seems to be slightly bleeding onto the "elbow" of the bent branch?

Very nice behavior shot! I would maybe crop a bit off of the left, but not much. Good one:)

Beautiful light and well captured in the action! I like the OOF horizon line and composition.
