Hi Dana,
This is superb...I like the composition, image and capture just the way it is...the details are sharp and the color rendition is very good. You have a good head angle and clear sharp eye...I like the natural framing of your subject by the surrounding leaves...well done...looking forward to more...

Hi Dana

Like the careful framing most of all to avoid merges !!! Really nice !!! ... might be common but one difficult little bird to capture !!!

Dana, I like your capture with the uncluttered BG. Good pose and eye contact. It just looks like you have oversharpened your bird:) Looking forward to more!

Hi - I agree with Jackie - appears to be just a tad too sharp for my tastes - when sharpening I go to the point were it appears just that bit to sharp and then back it down just a tad.
Bice composition, good HA and eye contact and a great BG - well done :)

Dana,

Nice shot, what was the subject distance and how much crop applied. Nice composition.

Thank you for the nice comments and suggestions on sharpening. Jeff, I would estimate the distance to be about 15 feet and cropped about 60%.
