This Wood Duck was photographed from a blind on a small woodland pond as the light was waning and the water picked up a golden hue. I like the emergent vegetation habitat in this one though other opinions are welcome. 40D, 500 f/4 +1.4X, 1/640, f/5.6, ISO 400.

Great light and details, I might crop this a bit tighter.

Exposure and light are fantastic. I agree about the tighter crop and wish the water were a little cleaner.

Exposure looks VG, and I love the colour of the water. I agree with a tighter crop to get rid of the vegetation in the ULC. I find it is a bit distracting from your beautiful bird:)

another beauty Steve....wonderful light.
Main distraction for me is the double(ghosted image) reflection.
I personally like the line of vegetation

Lovely set up and golden pond, although I wish all the vegetation in the water wasn't there. Nicely exposed and good placing in the frame.

Excellent exposure, and you have brought out the colours superbly. Great low angle, and I would leave the comp as is.

Great golden light and nice colors. Line of vegetation doesn't bother me although I do find the ULC batch distracting. I like the comp as is though so I might just remove/lessen it rather than go for a tighter crop.

IMO, wit this roomy comp, the vegetation ads ambient information wich is not a bad thing at all, light is gorgeous, pose is noce, comp as said looks good to me although for web presentation you could crop tighter.
Congratulations!

One more vote for a tighter crop.

Light is lovely in this one as is the subject.
