This was an early morning shot of a round barn near Pullman, WA. I took some other shots but liked this one the best because the driveway is a strong leading line.

Good use of the road as a leading line and the barn and tree balance well.

Hey Tom,
I agree with Robert that the road works nicely here. Light looks pretty nice too. Only suggestion and it is a minor one is tweaking the tree slightly (burn, dodge, or levels layer) so that it does stand a bit more prominant but it does balance the barn nicely. Well composed.

Very pleasing scene, Tom. You surely do get around to some nice locations!

I agree with Roman about popping the tree out just a bit more. I started playing around with this and
decided the sky needed a little gradient. Then I began wondering how that barn would look if it
were red. I just can't leave well enough alone! :(

Can't help wondering why they built a round barn. Never seen one before. Maybe a horse ring inside?

[EDIT: Found a site (http://www.thebarnjournal.org/round/index.html) all about round barns. Seems the main reason for round construction was cost.]

David,
I like the red barn and the sky. As to getting around, the Oregon, Washington and Idaho photos were taken last July during a 5 day photo workshop with Joe Lange of Dramatic Light Nature Photography. I still have a few more to submit from that workshop.
