I'm not sure what kind of lizard this is, but I love the pose. This was taken on my recent tour at a place on the Pacific coast called Villa Lapas. While not a macro shot, it is a close-up so I posted it here.

Really sharp, shows off the iridescence of the scales really well. Love the colours in the eye too. Neat Doug.

Good shot Doug! I like the selective focus on the eye/face! And I appreciate how low you had to get for this one! BTW, I think that this is a young Basilisk.

A very nice perspective with a clean background and good exposure, Doug. It's hard to believe you were able to achieve this sharpness handholding that rig at 1/100. I'm impressed! Well done.

I'm impressed as well! Love the eye in this one and the crisp details of the scales at the head/face. I wish the ear (?) was a bit more in focus but certainly not a deal breaker. I really like the way it gradually fades away - really well done!

Hi Doug!
This is a basilisk species that inhabits the pacific and caribbean side of CR, (Basiliscus vittatus) or in English, Striped basilisk, you also took a picture of the male on the Caribbean side, (Basiliscus basiliscus) the green one.

By the way, great image, lots of details here and sharp as a tack.
