Beautiful light, colors, specimen and pose. Only wish he was facing you instead of away from you.

Should have mentioned -- he was trying to draw me away from a nest or little ones -- so thats why the look over the shoulder, raised wing action, and open beak. Still would be better if he was looking at me but that the reason for the action

Nice colours and action - explanation re behaviour explains the pose. Image looks very smooth with loss of fine detail as though some fairly heavy NR has been applied.

Lovely pose with the upturned wings Scott, and before reading Tony's comment, I was going to state the same - the underwing looks very smooth, as if some form of NR or despeckle has been applied.

Hi Scott.. I agree with most comments but I want to add that this is a very beautiful image. The light, backround and subject are pleasing to the eye and attract attention...

Simply a stunning composition with excellent exposure , detail and composition, The BG is gorgeous and the low angle puts it over the top for me. Love this image !!! We would always like that little head turn as already mentioned but still a wonderful image.
