Rod:

Quite a nice indigo bunting! Sharp, right on edge of oversharpened for me, but looks good. Nice head angle and overall pose.

The massive perch threatens to overpower the bird, but the image is saved in my opinion by the intense color of the bunting, and the lower brightness of the perch.

I might blur the bright areas in the background a bit more.

It is helpful to me to see your exposure and post processing info, so I can learn from what was done.

Wow, I've never seen one! Very nice capture. Agree on softening the lines in the BG, Perch is massive, but I'd be happy to call it mine!

Pretty nice bird that I hope to have the chance at photographing soon. I'd like at little more room at right to prevent the top part of the perch from being clipped. Although this image is tack sharp I would definitely raise the ISO as 1/80s. @ ISO 200 is playing against the odds for consistent results ;-) I like the green stuff in the BG but would desaturate it and eliminate the OOF band connecting the two green areas.

You're killin' me here Rod! I tried all Winter to lure Buntings into my yard....and all I got was Grackles! Great stuff. Love the over-the-shoulder pose. Perch is big but I like it. I think just a bit more space on the right would help though, as that top portion of the perch gives just a bit of "crowded" perception to me. The bird looks perfect to me.

I like the pose, with him parrallel to the perch. Well exposed colour on him, and agree with Daniel to eliminate the band in the BG.
