Todd,
The background looks nice. Snow gives an nice feeling and overall idea about the habitat. It would have been good without that black patch behind it. Somehow I am not liking the sharpness. May be, the long day has tired my eye.

Cheers,

The sharpness of the head needs some work if possible, and the nose looks a little short of detail.

Lovely low angle, and super posture with the turned head. I agree the nose lacks a bit of detail.

Thanks for the comments, I opened up the shadows on the nose and sharpened the face a bit. See how this looks, after looking at the raw file again I see I went to far with the blacks. Thanks for pointing that out.

I like the dynamic look of the image - you can almost feel the hunt going on. The coyote is a bit centered for me - suggest a crop just right of the larger twig in the foreground - but the snowy foreground and background really add a nice touch to the image.

Re-post is better Todd. The blob is not so noticeable and the eye pops more.

I like this shot Todd. I like the off-center look of the coyote and the leg positions imply movement. Sharpness looks ok to me. I prefer the eyes in the first and the nose in the repost.
