You don't get many opportunities to do flight photography in Costa Rica's rainforests (save for the hummers). Things change when you're on the coast. This juvenile gave us a nice flyby on the beach one evening while we were waiting for Scarlet Macaws to fly home for the night.

Good exposure control and eye contact. If it doesn't bring out too much noise I might sharpen a bit more.

Good job Doug! It looks sharp enough to me as is. My shots of this guy weren't nearly as sharp:cool: so I'm envious. If I remember, he was on the backlit side?

Wow, very different to the Crested we have here. I like the pose but find the image overall dar, giving a dull appearance. A catch light would have been nice too.

I like angle of flight in this, with great exposure and detail throughout. Stands out nicely against the sky.

Wonderful image of a somewhat doofy looking bird. Love the pose and the great underwing detail. A bit more punch would help.

I doctored the sky a little in this image. The light was quite flat with overcast skies when I took the photo.

Muy buena toma Doug!

I think, even the light was not the best, that you did phenomenal with this guy. And as you say, flight photography down here is not easy.

Great job.
