I'm really not sure this belongs here but since it was inspired by one of Mike Moats' posts, I figured here was as good as anywhere.

Image was made yesterday at Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve in New Hope, Pa. When I saw the duckweed choking the little pond, I started to scan for frogs and they were there poking their heads out. It reminded me of Mike's post, so I made several images. This is one.

Canon 30D and 70-200mm f/2.8L IS; handheld.

1/200 sec @ f/11; ISO 200; -1/3 EV

(I can't believe how big this file is. I had to go outside in order to post it!)

Love the details & DOF on the frog. Nice head-on + low perspective. You've pulled of a nice image Ed.

Hey Ed, the shot that I posted is my best selling image in my art shows, it out sells every other image three 3-1. You did a great job with yours, I would have liked to seen a little more DOF to bring the front part more in focus, and I would clone in the vacant spots with more duckweed. This image will do well for you.

Here is a revision with more Duckweed cloned in. Your thoughts?

Hey Ed, Much better, but you need to clome the sharp areas into some of the area that look soft on focus,

Good job! How do you manage to see frogs? Lots in our pond, but I only see their back ends. Maybe we don't have enough duckweed.
