Juan,

One can never grow tired of these critters.:)

Nice composition with the frog's right eye as the main focus. Beautiful colors and sharp as a tack.

He's a cute little guy! I also like your focus on the eye but wish the feet were a little more in focus as well. Maybe f8 next time? It's an interesting object he's sitting on...might want to lighten that a bit to bring it out more as it compliments the colors of the frog and adds some interesting texture to the image.

I was going to post one of these guys until I saw your photo Juan. I prefer this image to your last tree frog. The pose makes it tough to get the whole frog in focus. I would push the ISO up to 400 and go for a bit more DOF. It looks like you had more DOF in the image, but it's all in front of the frog.

Hola, Juan Carlos. Great composition and wonderful colors -- uno nunca se cansa de esta ranita! It looks like the picture is not tack sharp on the frog. I think Doug may be right that the focus point was around the snout. At 1/60 of a second you might have gotten a bit of movement by the frog as well.

Love that Heliconia he's on!

Cheers,
Greg

Hi Juan Carlos!
I agree that you can never get tired of these guys! Personally I am Ok with the DOF - takes it away from being a standard portrait shot.
Best,
Nicki

Hola Juan Carlos. Lovely image of this little fellow but I too would prefer a bit more DOF. I had hoped to see and photograph one of these during our recent trip to your beautiful country but we did not come across any. :(

Pura vida! :)

Like those popping eyes !
Nice texture on the skin - especially between the eyes on the snout. Like its pose !
