This is the African Sacred Ibis. I managed to capture this guy as he landed. Next time, I will ask him to clean himself up a bit, to be more presentable for the site.

Hey Stuart:

He does look a bit rough. With that f stop I would have expected the entire bird to be in focus. Perhaps a bit of motion blur on the wings, although you were using a pretty fast shutter speed. Nice wing display.

Their head is so black, it is hard to see much of the eyes. I like your timing with the feet just going into the water.

Cheers

Randy

Perfect wing position Stuart. I'm not surprised that the wings are a little blurry. Even though the bird looks like it's standing up straight, it's pose probably makes it occupy a fair amount of depth. That and a little wing blur are the likely explanations for the wing tip blur.

I like the details and pose and might lighten the shadow of the bill.

Super sharp and wonderfully timed. Love the wing position and the just down feet!

Great wing spread and landing Stuart. It reminds me of a balerina! Like the slightly blurred wingtips. Well done mate. :)
