Harris's Hawk

Workshop: Roma, TX.

D3, 600VR, ISO 640, f7 @ 1/1250, -0.3EV.

Bird baited. I used PS to break up the hard cut edge of the log on the left side.

Hi Alan,
Beautiful bird, BG and is very sharp. I would like to have a little more room on top and to the left.

Hi Alan, just yesterday I looking at your website, in the last updated gallery and simply loved all you Harris images! This one was one of them! Pose, perch, light, exposure, all looks very nice!

Great light, pose, sharpness, and Photoshop work. Was this from the am or the pm blind? Roel says "Hi."

I love this one. Outstanding pose, BG, and exposure. Sharpness is spot on. I might add a little canvas above the birds tail. Keep them coming!

unusual pose Alan....seems quite intense and could care less about your presence.
Nice pp.....almost ran out of log! LOL

Hey Artie, this was from the evening blind.

Thanks Alan. All that we had in the afternoon's were strong Southeast winds with sun....

Stunning light, pin sharp, and showing excellent detail. I like the posture captured in this. The comp works well, although I would maybe add a bit to the top. Congrats.

Ho hum, just another really well done Alan Murphy image! ;)
Nice processing and the pose is unique! (kick the horse category) I would also add a small amount of canvas.

Hi Alan: This is an absolutely killer pose and photograph, baited or not. Your BG is clean and the crop work well. PS looks good since I didn't even notice it, even after knowing about the work. I don't think more canvas would add to this photograph. The focus is the behavior/pose, and that is extremely well depicted in this capture just the way you have it.

Super pose from the bird and great light. Wouldn't have done it any other way.
